Reforestation Efforts Being Made In Aitera Administrative Area

Extensive reforestation efforts are being made in vast enclosed area in Aitera administrative area, La’lay Gash sub zone, according to the Administrator of the area, Mr. Habtu Kibreab.
La’lay Gash, 10 October 2010- Extensive reforestation efforts are being made in vast enclosed area in Aitera administrative area, La’lay Gash sub zone, according to the Administrator of the area, Mr. Habtu Kibreab.

Mr. Habtu told ERINA that the people of the area are committed to protecting the enclosed forests and that punitive rules have been adopted to be applied to those found cutting down trees.

The inhabitants of the area on their part stated that such enclosed forests can provide a source of food in dire times and present a breathtaking sight in times of plenty.
