The inhabitants of Ashera administrative area, Hagaz sub-zone, have been called upon to properly preserve the long-standing trees and the newly mushrooming ones. Hagaz, 11 October 2010 – The inhabitants of Ashera administrative area, Hagaz sub-zone, have been called upon to properly preserve the long-standing trees and the newly mushrooming ones.

The Administrator of the area, Mr. Fisehatsion Woldu, indicated that the forestation activities being carried out in different parts of the country are bearing encouraging outcome and urged the local inhabitants to bring to justice those irresponsible individuals who cut down trees illegally.

Commending exemplary farmers who continuously guard trees and rangelands, he called on employees engaged in the preservation of trees to intensify their task.

Ashera administrative area comprises the villages of Chiendaogai, Shaftakue, Sequar, Gelairkot, Akit, Meblataku and Kerot-Nejer.
