30 People Killed In Road Accident Along The Barentu-Tekombia Route

30 people were killed yesterday in road accident on the Barentu-Tekombia route. The accident occurred when a bus heading for Shilalo carrying 68 people overturned at the Gash-Tekombia Bridge due to high speed.
Barentu, 21 October 2010 – 30 people were killed yesterday in road accident on the Barentu-Tekombia route. The accident occurred when a bus heading for Shilalo carrying 68 people overturned at the Gash-Tekombia Bridge due to high speed.

37 others who sustained injures in the accident are currently receiving treatment at the Barentu Referral Hospital.

Mr. Girmai Semere from the Police Office in Gash-Barka region pointed out that the bus meant to provide service to 45 people only was transporting an additional 23 persons.
