Farming Community In Tessenei Sub-Zone Called Upon To Step Up Efforts To Boost Production

The Administrator of Gash-Barka region, Mr. Mussa Rab’a called on the farming community in Tessenei sub-zone engaged in cultivating fruits and vegetables to step up endeavors to boost production. He made the statement in a meeting he conducted in Tessenei sub-zone.
Tessenei, 24 October 2010 – The Administrator of Gash-Barka region, Mr. Mussa Rab’a called on the farming community in Tessenei sub-zone engaged in cultivating fruits and vegetables to step up endeavors to boost production. He made the statement in a meeting he conducted in Tessenei sub-zone.

Mr. Mussa pointed out the need for the farmers to engage in year-round production that could ensure continuous supply so as to satisfy the demand of the market places in their respective areas. He also reminded them to engage in dairy farming besides cultivating fruits and vegetable.

The Administrator further called on the farmers to strengthen their organization so as to boost production.

The Head of the branch office of Ministry of Agriculture in the sub-zone, Mr. Idris Ahmed, disclosed that three veterinaries are playing crucial role in ensuring the health of livestock.
