Ministers and Administrator visit victims of road accident at Gash-Tokombia Bridge

The Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr. Woldenkiel Abraha, the Minister of Health, Ms. Amna Nurhusein, and the Administrator of Gash-Barka region, Mr. Mussa Rab’a, visited the victims of the horrible road accident that occurred at the Gash-Tokombia Bridge on October 20 which claimed the lives of 30 people.

Barentu, 25 October 2010 – The Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr. Woldenkiel Abraha, the Minister of Health, Ms. Amna Nurhusein, and the Administrator of Gash-Barka region, Mr. Mussa Rab’a, visited the victims of the horrible road accident that occurred at the Gash-Tokombia Bridge on October 20 which claimed the lives of 30 people. 

The officials visited the victims currently under medical care in Barentu Hospital, during which they wished good health to them. They also received briefings by doctors in the hospital on the condition of the victims.

Reports indicated that out of 37 passengers who sustained heavy injury, 11 have been referred for advanced treatment, while the remaining 21 are in better condition.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr. Woldenkiel Abraha, visited the accident scene and expressed condolences to families of the victims.
