Secondary School Being Constructed In Nacfa Town

A secondary school is being constructed in Nacfa town at an expenditure of over 11 million Nakfa, according to the infrastructure development department in the Northern Red Sea region.

Nacfa, 27 October 2010 – A secondary school is being constructed in Nacfa town at an expenditure of over 11 million Nakfa, according to the infrastructure development department in the Northern Red Sea region.

The school under construction through Gedem Construction Company comprises 20 classrooms, 5 staff offices, laboratory and computer center, as well as assembly hall and store.

A human resource development center equipped with two-room building and a big hall is also being constructed within the premises of the school with a view to upgrading the competence of teachers.

The supervisor of the project, Mr. Aregai Meles, indicated that 40% of the project has already been accomplished and that it is expected to be finalized in 18 months.

Reports indicated that the new high school would substitute the historical Tsebra Boarding School that was providing educational opportunity under makeshift facility for 18 years. Construction of additional dormitory facility, football field and other facilities would proceed in the second phase of the project, reports added.
