Gahtelai, 28 October 2010 – The construction of building complexes for various business purposes in Gahtelai semi-urban center through Gedem Construction Company has vital role to play in facilitating the pace of urbanization and development of the tourism sector, stated local inhabitants.
They commended the endeavors being exerted by the Government towards developing the locality and added that the construction of the building complexes would pave the way for speedy urbanization and prosperity.
The inhabitants further noted that previously there existed no infrastructure facility that attract tourists, although it is located along the main Asmara-Massawa route. The implementation of various projects, including the latest building complexes would enable it become tourism destination, they elaborated.
Likewise, the manager of Gedem Construction Company, Mr. Mebrahtu Mael, indicated that the construction of the foam-made building complexes involving about 22 rooms is an integral part of the investment in the process of launching towards alleviating housing problem.
The supervisor of the project, Mr. Kiflehanes Fisehaye, said on his part that the project would lay solid ground for enabling the semi-urban center become tourism destination, as it is located along the main Asmara-Massawa road. He further commended the support being extended on the part of the inhabitants of Gahtelai semi-urban center in the undertaking.
