Noting that concerted action is being taken to reinforce the student-centered curriculum for the benefit of students, he explained that female participation in education is progress well both in terms of number and competitiveness. He further pointed out that a school station has been opened in Ambela, Deki-Andu administrative area, with a view to providing educational opportunity to children in remote areas, including those who failed to attend classes at the right age.

Mr. Medhane further stressed the significance of schools that are being upgraded from junior to secondary level in easing school dropout cases. Skill-upgrading training course has also been given to teachers, he added.

Student told ERINA that the quality of education continues to improve from time to time, and expressed readiness to avail themselves of the available opportunity. They also highlighted the importance of fostering close relationship among parents, teachers and students in their academic pursuit.
