Ti’o semi-urban center in Araeta sub-zone is showing speedy urbanization as a result of the substantial investment being made to put in place various service-rendering institutions, according to Mr. Hamad Gebre Amir, head of administration and finance in the sub-zone.
Ti’o, 28 October 2010 – Ti’o semi-urban center in Araeta sub-zone is showing speedy urbanization as a result of the substantial investment being made to put in place various service-rendering institutions, according to Mr. Hamad Gebre Amir, head of administration and finance in the sub-zone.

He stated that various service-rendering institutions have been introduced in the area, including health institutions, schools, potable water supply project, immigration and nationality office, energy-generating facility, fish processing plant, community magistrate, and police stations, as well as transport, postal and telephone services.

Mr. Hamad went on to say that the implementation of potable water supply project equipped with 6 water distribution stations at a cost of 10.5 million Nakfa in 2009 is playing major role in easing the acute drinking water problem the inhabitants used to face. Preparations are also underway to expand electricity service from the previous limited 5 hours to 24 hours.

He called on the inhabitants of the semi-urban center to enhance their commendable practical initiatives towards developing the area.
