Inhabitants of Adobha sub-zone getting access to education

The inhabitants of Dirit administrative area, Adobha sub-zone, said that the putting in place of various social services in the area, especially education is serving as a steppingstone for urbanization.

 

Adobha, 1 November 2010 – The inhabitants of Dirit administrative area, Adobha sub-zone, said that the putting in place of various social services in the area, especially education is serving as a steppingstone for urbanization.

They stated that as a result of the continued campaign and lectures, their awareness regarding the significance of education is on the rise, and that they have began sending their children to school at the right age.  The local inhabitants further lauded the Government’s efforts in expanding equitable social services in all parts of the country, including remote areas.

They expressed satisfaction with the construction of school in their respective area which is already providing educational opportunity to their children.

The head of the Education Ministry’s branch in the sub-zone, Mr. Mohammed Idris Mohammed Ali, pointed out that there exist 3 elementary and junior schools in the sub-zone, and that the awareness of the society as regards education is gaining momentum.

Reports indicated that female participation in elementary school stands at 63% and 42% at junior level.
