Livestock resource in Mensura sub-zone in good condition

Livestock resource in all administrative areas of Mensura sub-zone is in good condition as there exist sufficient animal feed, stated Mr. Tesfalidet Gebremariam, Administrator of the sub-zone.
Mensura, 2 November 2010 – Livestock resource in all administrative areas of Mensura sub-zone is in good condition as there exist sufficient animal feed, stated Mr. Tesfalidet Gebremariam, Administrator of the sub-zone.

He noted that rangelands in the area have grown abundant grass and called on farmers to make good use of it. Mr. Tesfalidet further pointed out that animal vaccination program being undertaken by the Agriculture Ministry’s branch in the sub-zone is bearing fruitful outcome, and that it would be enhanced in the future.

He went on to highlight the need for constructing more water reservoirs as a number of pastoralists from surrounding villages are flocking to Mensura sub-zone in search of water and pasture.
