Eritrean nationals residing in Germany and Sweden who spent their vacation in the Homeland expressed deep impression with the implementation of major development programs.
Asmara, 2 November 2010 – Eritrean nationals residing in Germany and Sweden who spent their vacation in the Homeland expressed deep impression with the implementation of major development programs.
In the course of the visit to Gash-Barka and Northern Red Sea regions, the nationals observed the wide-ranging development programs being implemented towards achieving food security. They explained that the accomplishments registered in the education and health sectors amply demonstrate the unremitting endeavors of the people and the Government.
The visiting nationals further noted that in the course of the tour they witnessed impressive development achievements that pave the way for the nation’s bright future. They further expressed deep admiration to the heavy machineries imported by the Government at substantial hard currency for the effective implementation of development and infrastructure programs.
Expressing pride and dignity for being part of the hard working fellow Eritreans, the citizens pointed out that the promising agricultural production is the outcome of the extensive preparations made before the onset of the rainy season, on top of this year’s good rainy season.
The visiting citizens grouped in the “Gerset Association” comprise a total of 27 Eritrean nationals, out of whom 23 reside in Germany and 4 in Sweden. In the course of the tour, they visited Bisha mining site, Gerset and Fanko dams, Alebu, agricultural activities in Aligidir, Hirgigo Power Plant and the Cement Factory.
