The inhabitants of Mai-Shigli administrative area, Laelai-Gash sub-zone, stated that the putting in place of various service-rendering institutions in the area is bringing about noticeable improvement in their lifestyle. Laelai-Gash, 3 November 2010 – The inhabitants of Mai-Shigli administrative area, Laelai-Gash sub-zone, stated that the putting in place of various service-rendering institutions in the area is bringing about noticeable improvement in their lifestyle.
They explained that the construction of health station in the area is playing major role in preventing various diseases in general and reducing mother and child mortality rate in particular. The problem of potable water supply the inhabitants used to encounter has also been eased as a result of the implementation of the required project, they elaborated. The local inhabitants further highlighted the need for undertaking intensive public awareness raising campaign so as to promote active student participation in education.
The Administrator of the area, Mr. Hassen Ismail, noted on his part that there exist 3 water distribution stations in the area that are providing reliable potable water supply to the public.
Mai-Shigli administrative area groups the villages of Dinsit, Hawashait, Bekitkore, Adilalish, Zerafayai, Adi-Kurkure, Adi-Hatsurai and Adi-Teklai.
