Construction of potable water project in Igidoli nearing finalization

The construction of a potable water project in the administrative area of Igidoli, Araeta sub-zone, through the Government and partners is nearing finalization, according to Eng. Niamin Elias, head of the project.

Araeta, 4 November 2010- The construction of a potable water project in the administrative area of Igidoli, Araeta sub-zone, through the Government and partners is nearing finalization, according to Eng. Niamin Elias, head of the project.

He further indicated that the project being undertaken at a cost of 3.6 million Nakfa would relieve the 1,500 inhabitants of Igidoli from traveling more than 4 hours to fetching water that was not even up to standard. Eng. Niamin commended the active participation of the inhabitants in the task.

Five potable water supply projects worth over 17 million Nakfa have been constructed in the sub-zone, and are rendering service to the inhabitants of Aitos, Hamerti, Ferer, Rabukra and Ti’o, the report added.
