Ambassador conducts seminar to Eritreans in Canada

The Eritrean Ambassador to the US, Mr. Girmai Gebremariam, conducted a seminar to Eritrean citizens residing in the Canadian cities of Montréal, Ottawa and Toronto focusing on the objective situation in the Homeland and the region.

Asmara, 5 November 2010 – The Eritrean Ambassador to the US, Mr. Girmai Gebremariam, conducted a seminar to Eritrean citizens residing in the Canadian cities of Montréal, Ottawa and Toronto focusing on the objective situation in the Homeland and the region.

In the seminar conducted from October 29 to 31, the Ambassador pointed out that the Government is implementing major infrastructure and agricultural programs through active participation of the people and member of the Defense Force aimed at achieving food security. He further explained that the expansion of schools and colleges in different parts of the country is playing vital role in building human capacity.

Mr. Girmai indicated that Eritrea has laid a ground conducive to investment, and that such an opportunity remains open for both Eritrean and foreign investors. In this respect, the Ambassador called on Eritrean owners of capital to avail themselves of the available investment opportunity in the Homeland.

Moreover, he lauded the vibrant resolute rebuff waged on the part of Eritrean nationals to foil the illegal US-engineered sanctions resolution against Eritrea. Ambassador Girmai went on to say that the integrated resolute rebuff should continue with added vigor for the success of the national development drive.

The participants of the seminar stated that they are proud with the fact that Eritrea’s stance as regards regional issues is now being adopted by a number of forces, thus attesting to the maturity of the Eritrean leadership. They also voiced determination as ever to live up to the nation’s expectations.
