In the information they gave personally and to the feedback desk of the Ministry, the readers indicated that duplication and writing errors in notices, bids and article columns are sometimes witnessed in the newspapers, in addition to poor handling of photography and layout. They particularly highlighted the need for rectifying spelling errors often committed.
In a reply he gave to the criticisms put forth by readers, the director general of the Press Department in the Ministry, Mr. Mohammed Omar Suba, pointed out that the necessary action would be taken to rectify such errors, and that the planned Monday publication in Hadas Eritra newspaper beginning November 15 is part of the endeavors. As for the repeated errors witnessed in printing, it is the problem of the Sabur Printing Press, and that the printing press is doing its level best to improve the quality of publication.
The Editor of Hadas Eritra newspaper, Mr. Samsom Haile, said on his part that such criticisms and opinions are helpful in the work of the paper. He further highlighted the demanding task of newspaper publication and that strenuous efforts would be exerted to reduce errors to the lowest possible level.
