Potable Water Supply Project Being Implemented In Mabra

More than 3,000 people and members of the Defense Force are actively engaged in the installation of water pipelines for the success of the implementation of a potable water supply in Mabra, Central Denkalia sub-zone, at a cost of over 3 million Nakfa.

Central Denkalia, 10 November 2010 – More than 3,000 people and members of the Defense Force are actively engaged in the installation of water pipelines for the success of the implementation of a potable water supply in Mabra, Central Denkalia sub-zone, at a cost of over 3 million Nakfa.

Accordingly, out of the 9 Km-long installation of water pipelines from water source to distribution stations, over 5 kilometers have so far been accomplished. The popular campaign is being stepped up so as to accomplish the remaining task shortly, the reports added.

Reports indicated that previously the local inhabitants used to face acute potable water supply problem in which they were sometimes compelled to migrate to other areas in search of water. The inhabitants expressed satisfaction with the initiatives taken by the Government in the implementation of the project that would eventually make potable water supply problem no more.  To this end, they voiced determination to back up the implementation of the project.

Mabra is one of the 7 administrative areas in Central Denkalia sub-zone.
