Concerned bodies have been called upon to take remedial steps towards preventing the cutting of trees in Arakub administrative area, Laelai Gash sub-zone.
La’elai Gash, 11 November 2010 – Concerned bodies have been called upon to take remedial steps towards preventing the cutting of trees in Arakub administrative area, Laelai Gash sub-zone.

The Administrator of Arakub, Mr. Zemhret Woldeab, pointed out that trees are being recklessly cut, and urged forest inspectors to step up efforts to redress the destruction of plant resources. He also called on the local inhabitants to bring wrong doers to justice. 

Mr. Zeregabir Amine, one of the forest inspectors, said that the lifestyle of the inhabitants of Arakub administrative area is closely related with trees, and that the destruction of such asset would have negative consequence on their day-to-day living.
