At an assessment meeting held in Debarwa sub-zone, the head of the Health Ministry’s branch office in the Southern region, Mr. Tesfalem Gebrekidan, pointed out that efforts to combat communicable diseases in the region have registered significant outcome through the concerted endeavors of the Ministry, administrative bodies and the general public.
Debarwa, 11 November 2010 – At an assessment meeting held in Debarwa sub-zone, the head of the Health Ministry’s branch office in the Southern region, Mr. Tesfalem Gebrekidan, pointed out that efforts to combat communicable diseases in the region have registered significant outcome through the concerted endeavors of the Ministry, administrative bodies and the general public.
He explained that communicable diseases in general and malaria in particular have dropped to the lowest level.
The head of control unit regarding communicable diseases, Mr. Asefaw Gebremichael, said that sanitation campaigns and other tasks have been conducted over the past 9 months to students and area administrators.
