Successful Heart Surgeries Carried Out On Children Through The Cooperation of Eritrean And German Doctors

Successful heart surgeries were carried out on 24 children through the cooperation of Eritrean doctors and the German-based medical association of Archimed.

Asmara, 13 November 2010: Successful heart surgeries were carried out on 24 children through the cooperation of Eritrean doctors and the German-based medical association of Archimed.

One of the German doctors, Dr. Anna Maria, told ERINA that the children had been suffering from different forms of heart complications and were receiving follow up by Eritrean doctors. Dr. Anna went on to indicate that the children have now been completely cure of their problems.

The medical association of Archimed undertakes visits to Eritrea two times a year to conduct heart surgeries on children.
