Electricity service introduced in Halhal, Mai-Awalid and Melebso

As part of efforts to expand basic social services in all parts of the country, the inhabitants of Halhal, Mai-Awalid and Melebso administrative areas in Halhal sub-zone have now got access to electricity service.

Halhal, 15 November 2010 – As part of efforts to expand basic social services in all parts of the country, the inhabitants of Halhal, Mai-Awalid and Melebso administrative areas in Halhal sub-zone have now got access to electricity service.

The head of the Eritrean Electricity Corporation branch in Anseba region, Mr. Sereke Michael, indicated that about 157 power counters have already been distributed in Halhal semi-urban center, 26 in Mai-Awalid and 195 in Melebso.

The Administrator of Melebso, Mr. Mohammed Ali Saleh, on his part commended the investment and efforts made by the local inhabitants for the success of the project.

The beneficiaries expressed satisfaction with the newly introduced service and expressed conviction that it would facilitate urbanization in the area.
