The agricultural activities being undertaken by Hagaz Agricultural Technical School is playing vital role in endeavors to achieve food security, according to Brother Woldetinsae Tesfasilasie, managing director of the school.
Hagaz, 18 November 2010 – The agricultural activities being undertaken by Hagaz Agricultural Technical School is playing vital role in endeavors to achieve food security, according to Brother Woldetinsae Tesfasilasie, managing director of the school.

He explained that the agricultural products of the school, apart from helping to meet the demand of the local inhabitants, are channeled to the market in Keren and Asmara cities. The managing director further indicated that the school provides consultancy and training services to members of the farming communities in the areas.

The Hagaz Agricultural Technical School carries out agricultural activities on 16 hectares involving vineyard, orange, lemon, mangos and the like. It is also engaged in vegetable farming, production of animal feed and plant nursery.
