The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare branch in Anseba region rehabilitated a total of 233 needy families through extending assistance worth over 2.5 million Nakfa.
Keren, 20 November 2010 – The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare branch in Anseba region rehabilitated a total of 233 needy families through extending assistance worth over 2.5 million Nakfa.
Accordingly, 73 families catering to orphans were rehabilitated through cattle worth over 20,000 Nakfa each, while beasts of burden were given in support of 160 disabled students.
The head of social security in the branch office, Mr. Tedros Fisehaye, explained that the assistance is aimed at enabling needy nationals and disabled persons become self-supporting and productive.
The beneficiaries highlighted the significance of such assistance in improving their standard of living.
