Asmara, 20 November 2010 – In continuation of efforts to expand speedy and efficient transport service in all corners of the country, over 50 new modern public buses have been imported.

The buses that suit the country’s weather condition are expected to alleviate transport problems to and fro, besides making due contribution in facilitating trading activities.

Reports indicated that the continued expansion of transport service is relieving citizens from similar problems thanks to the construction of a number of road networks within the framework of the national development drive. Noting that expansion of transport service has vital role to play in the development of the tourism sector, the passengers highlighted the need for undertaking proper allocation, and that strengthening terminal tasks is imperative for the provision of effective transport service.

It is to be recalled that Harat Transport Company earlier imported 54 new buses.
