Concerned Bodies Called On To Give Due Attention To Expanding Libraries In The Northern Red Sea Region

Professionals engaged in educational activities in the Northern Red Sea region called on the concerned bodies to give due attention for the expanding of libraries in terms of quality and quantity in bid to effectively apply the student centered approach.
Massawa, 21 November 2010 – Professionals engaged in educational activities in the Northern Red Sea region called on the concerned bodies to give due attention for the expanding of libraries in terms of quality and quantity in bid to effectively apply the student centered approach.

They stressed the need to introduce standardized libraries with the increasing expansion of high schools, and that the society and other partners should make due contribution to equip libraries with relevant books.

The director of Shi’eb Junior and Secondary School, Mr. Idris Ali called on the Ministry of Education to make the due contribution in supplying the necessary books.

Reports disclosed that only three of the 11 high schools in the region have well-functioning libraries.
