Dembe Habtestion inhabitants enjoying reliable potable water supply

Mothers and children in Dembe Habtestion administrative area, Elabered sub-zone, have now been relieved of traveling long distance to fetch water that was not even up to standard thanks to the implementation of potable water supply project in the area.
Elabered, 22 November 2010 – Mothers and children in Dembe Habtestion administrative area, Elabered sub-zone, have now been relieved of traveling long distance to fetch water that was not even up to standard thanks to the implementation of potable water supply project in the area.

Noting that they used to travel for hours to drink water from streams together with their cattle, they expressed deep satisfaction with the putting in place of reliable potable water supply project. The local inhabitants further stated that the introduction of such a service fully attests to the Government’s endeavors to narrow the gap between urban and rural areas.

It is to be noted that the potable water supply project was implemented in the locality at a cost of over 3 million Nakfa through the collaboration of the Anseba regional Administration and partners.
