Along with the endeavors being made to expand schools in the Northern Red Sea region, parents were called upon to enhance their role in ensuring active student participation in education.
Massawa, 23 November 2010 – Along with the endeavors being made to expand schools in the Northern Red Sea region, parents were called upon to enhance their role in ensuring active student participation in education.

Reports indicated that although schools are being constructed in permanent centers and mobile education service is introduced for those nationals leading nomadic pattern of living, student participation in school is not proceeding as desired. In this connection, the local inhabitants highlighted the need for undertaking increased public awareness raising campaign.

The head of the Education Ministry’s branch in the region, Mr. Yasin Mohammed, indicated that the newly built schools in different parts of the region have not yet enrolled enough number of students due to parental weaknesses.
