Eritrea Festival in Qatar opens

The 2nd Eritrea Festival in Qatar opened yesterday with patriotic zeal under the theme: “No Country, No Dignity.”
Asmara, 26 November 2010 – The 2nd Eritrea Festival in Qatar opened yesterday with patriotic zeal under the theme: “No Country, No Dignity.”

The Head of Organizational Affairs at the PFDJ, Mr. Abdalla Jabir, opened an arts exhibition depicting the culture and lifestyle of the Eritrean people, the heroic exploits demonstrated during the armed struggle and the nation’s rich tourism potentials.

The Qatari Minister of Culture, Mr. Hamed Bin Abdel-Aziz Al-Kewari, told ERINA correspondents during the opening ceremony that the festival in general and the arts exhibition in particular made significant contribution in raising his understanding about Eritrea and its people.

The Festival that would continue until November 27 would feature the holding of youth congress in Qatar and seminar on the objective situation in the Homeland and the region, as well as cultural shows.
