Dairy Farm Association striving to boost milk production

The Dairy Farm Association in Daerotai, Hagaz sub-zone, is striving to boost production, according to Mr. Jelani Abubaker Jim’e, chairman of the Association. Hagaz, 29 November 2010 – The Dairy Farm Association in Daerotai, Hagaz sub-zone, is striving to boost production, according to Mr. Jelani Abubaker Jim’e, chairman of the Association.

He explained that members of the Association have managed to construct a micro-dam at substantial expenditure that would serve cattle. Mr. Jelani further stated that there are plans to used for cultivating animal feed. The members noted that the allotment of the land plot would have a vital role to play in developing dairy farming.

The head of the Agriculture Ministry’s branch in Hagaz sub-zone, Mr. Mohammed Adbella, pointed out on his part that the Association is assuming promising prospects and that the Ministry is extending the necessary advice and assistance.

The Association which comprises over 20 members possesses about 400 cows.
