Elabered, 1 December 2010 – The inhabitants of Hadish-Adi and Gush in Elabered sub-zone have become beneficiaries of a 24-hour electricity service.
The Eritrean Electricity Corporation’s branch in Anseba region disclosed that 4 transformers have been put in place in the two villages and that about 300 power counters have so far been distributed in residential houses and institutions. Reports indicated that over 800,000 Nakfa has been disbursed for the installation of electric lines from Elabered to Hadish-Adi.
The Administrator of Hadish-Adi, Mr. Medhane Gebreyesus, expressed conviction that the newly introduced power supply would reinforce health and education services, as well as vegetable farming activities, besides facilitating urbanization.
The inhabitants expressed satisfaction with the electricity supply that relieved them from darkness.
Hadish-Adi is one of the 13 administrative areas in Elabered sub-zone which is located about 15 Km. southwest of Elabered town.
