The Eritrean Institute of Technology (EIT) has launched 2 degree and one diploma programs focusing on mining engineering in this academic year, according to Dr. Gebreberhan Ogbazgi, Vice President of the Institute.
Asmara, 1 December 2010 – The Eritrean Institute of Technology (EIT) has launched 2 degree and one diploma programs focusing on mining engineering in this academic year, according to Dr. Gebreberhan Ogbazgi, Vice President of the Institute.
In an interview he conducted with Dimtsi Hafash, he pointed out that the newly introduced courses are taken into account the situation of mining activities in the country and are aimed at upgrading internal capacity in this regard. Accordingly, the degree program involves pursuing courses to 5 years, while the diploma program runs for 3 years.
Dr. Gebreberhan further explained that the EIT is divided into 3 major Faculties comprising about 20 departments. There are also over 20 Degree and 15 Diploma programs in such departments, he added.
The Eritrean Institute of Technology which officially opened in 2004 is ready to offer M.A programs in the fields of Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Math in this scholastic year.
