The Eritrean National Association for Independence in Europe (ENAE) celebrated its 40th anniversary in the German city of Munich on November 27.
Asmara, 2 December 2010 – The Eritrean National Association for Independence in Europe (ENAE) celebrated its 40th anniversary in the German city of Munich on November 27.
In a speech he delivered on the occasion as founder of the Association, Mr. Woldenkiel Abraha, Minister of Transport and Communications, noted the historical contribution of Eritrean nationals living in Europe in 1970 as regards their strong organization and support to the popular forces would as ever continue to shine. He went on to say that the active participation of Eritreans residing in Europe in the national reconstruction drive is the outcome of all such endeavors.
In the celebrations attended by veteran and new Eritrean members of the Association as well as nationalists from Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria and other European countries, the Eritrean Ambassador to Germany, Mr. Petros Tsegai, said that the commemoration of the Eritrean historical event 40 years ago in the City of Munich symbolizes its paramount significance.
A number of commemorative artistic shows and film were presented on the occasion.
