Newly built Sehaba Mosque inaugurated

The modern mosque, Sehaba, constructed in Keren town on about 9,000 square meters was inaugurated yesterday.

Keren, 4 December 2010 – The modern mosque, Sehaba, constructed in Keren town on about 9,000 square meters was inaugurated yesterday.

The Eritrean Mufti, Sheik Al-Amin Osman, and the Minister of the Qatari Awkaf and Islamic Affairs, Dr. Keis Bin Mubarak Al-Kewari, inaugurated the mosque and stated that its construction symbolizes the existing solid relations between Eritrea and Qatar.

Also present at the inauguration ceremony were the Administrator of Anseba region, Mr. Gergis Girmai, other government officials, Ambassadors and religious leaders, as well as representatives of the residents of Keren and its environs.
