Inhabitants of Melebso receiving commendable health service

The inhabitants of various villages in Melebso administrative area, Halhal sub-zone, expressed satisfaction with the provision of commendable health service that enabled them to lead better living condition. Melebso, 6 December 2010 – The inhabitants of various villages in Melebso administrative area, Halhal sub-zone, expressed satisfaction with the provision of commendable health service that enabled them to lead better living condition.

They stated that previously they used to suffer from various diseases as there existed no health station and due to low public awareness regarding ways of preventing diseases. At present, however, they are relieved of such diseases thanks to the opening of a health station in their locality, they added.

The local inhabitants further explained that on top of reliable medical service, the continued advice and information being provided by health professionals is playing significant role in raising their awareness and ensuring public health.  As a result, the incidence of death during pregnancy and delivery has dramatically dropped as a result of public awareness raising campaign.

The head of Melebso health station, Mr. Abraha Solomon, said that noticeable positive changes have been registered, especially in undertaking child vaccination program and pre-and post-delivery medical checkups.
