Barentu, 8 December 2010 – A lecture organized in Barentu town highlighted the significance of fostering community-based and coordinated contribution on the part of government institutions in minimizing accidents and their dire consequences.

The lecture was organized by the Health Ministry and offered to representatives of various ministries’ branch offices and health professionals in Gash-Barka region.

It noted the need for the public to play positive role in bringing accident victims to health institutions and conveying accurate and speedy information about the accidents scene. The lecture also highlighted the paramount role of the society in ensuring the safety of life and avoiding unwanted disaster.
