Massawa, 9 December 2010 – In meetings conducted in the sub-zones of Ginda, Massawa, Foro and Gelalu, it was emphasized that the role of Area administrators and elders is vital in ensuring active popular participation.

It was particularly stressed that the active participation of the people is of paramount importance towards effectively finalizing the construction of schools and potable water supply projects, as well as soil and water conservation endeavors.

The head of the PFDJ branch in the Northern Red Sea region, Mr. Hamed Haji, explained that the endeavors being made to expand service-rendering institutions, and thereby ensure social justice are registering satisfactory progress.

The participants of the meetings on their part reiterated readiness to redouble efforts in the on-going development drive.
