Administrator urges employees of service-rendering institutions to seriously handle public affairs

The Administrator of the Northern Red Sea region, Ms. Tsegereda Woldegergis, urged employees of service-rendering institutions in Gelalu sub-zone to demonstrate extra care in handling and managing public affairs.
Gelalu, 11 December 2010 – The Administrator of the Northern Red Sea region, Ms. Tsegereda Woldegergis, urged employees of service-rendering institutions in Gelalu sub-zone to demonstrate extra care in handling and managing public affairs.

In a meeting with the employees, she called on them to work diligently in the effective implementation of envisaged programs as they directly interact with the general public. In this connection, Ms. Tsegereda stated that the increased contribution of the employees in the putting in place of service-rendering institutions and infrastructure facilities is imperative for still greater achievements.

The Administrator of Gelalu sub-zone, Mr. Hamid Mohammed-Ali, highlighted the need for the existing institutions in the sub-zone to foster close coordination so that the available resources in the area could be harnessed for the benefit of the people.

Also in a similar meeting with representatives of the people and village elders, the regional Administrator stressed the need for giving top attention to the task of soil and water conservation, preservation of vegetation and wildlife resources, as well as construction and renovation of road networks, among others.

The participants of the meeting adopted resolutions and recommendations calling for reinforcing the construction of water diversion schemes with a view to diverting flowing river waters for agricultural purpose.
