Three Water Reservoirs Worth 4 Million Nakfa Constructed In Debai-Sima Administrative Area

Three underground water reservoirs have been constructed at a cost of 4 million Nakfa in Debai-Sima administrative area – Southern Denkalia sub-zone. Southern Denkalia, 12 December 2010 – Three underground water reservoirs have been constructed at a cost of 4 million Nakfa in Debai-Sima administrative area – Southern Denkalia sub-zone.

Eng. Teklom Tsegai, supervisor of the task, stated that the branch office of the Ministry of Agriculture in the Southern Red Sea region in collaboration with partners has constructed the underground reservoirs in a bid to ensure water supply to livestock in their vicinity. He further reminded the local inhabitants to judiciously utilize the services provided.

Mr. Ahmed Mohammed, who owns about 1,000 sheep and goats, expressed satisfaction with the provision of hand pump water, nine under-ground reservoir of potable water supply, in addition to three reservoirs for livestock.

Debai-Sima is located about 40Km. west of the port city of Assab.
