Newly planted palm date trees in Gerset in good condition

More than 7,000 tree seedling of palm date planted in Gerset are in good condition, stated Mr. Woldemichael Habte, supervisor of the scheme.
Gerset, 13 December 2010 – More than 7,000 tree seedling of palm date planted in Gerset are in good condition, stated Mr. Woldemichael Habte, supervisor of the scheme.

He told ERINA that the tree seedlings were planted last year and at present the undertaking is bearing promising prospects as a result of intensive care. He went on to say that the weather condition in the area is suitable for palm date, and that there are plans to expand such agricultural activities through widely planting palm date trees within the framework of the Gerset agricultural project.

Mr. Woldmichael commended the inhabitants for making due contribution in properly looking after the trees.
