Adi-Omar, 14 December 2010 – The Adi-Omar Agricultural Project is striving to expand activities to milk and dairy products, beyond the production of fruits and vegetables.
The head of animal breeding in the project, Mr. Ismail Mohammed, explained that the project launched its animal breeding activities in the year 2000 through 500 goats and few cattle, and that a number of such resources were produced that could yield better production.
Noting that about 15,000 goats have so far been supplied to the market, he pointed out that the cattle have undergone hybrid level by experts and are producing well. Reports indicated that continued vaccination program is undertaken to ensure the health of livestock and that about 800 goats are born annually.
