Eritrean nationals in USA send messages of protest to President Obama and Ban Ki-Moon

Eritrean nationals residing in various US cities sent coordinated messages via telephone, fax and email to US President Barak Obama and the UN Secretary General, Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, with a view to denouncing and annulling the unjust and illegal US sanctions resolution against Eritrea adopted in the name of the Security Council.

Asmara, 17 December 2010 – Eritrean nationals residing in various US cities sent coordinated messages via telephone, fax and email to US President Barak Obama and the UN Secretary General, Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, with a view to denouncing and annulling the unjust and illegal US sanctions resolution against Eritrea adopted in the name of the Security Council. 

The nationals and foreign friends of Eritrea have sent about 60,000 messages of protest to the pertinent leaders through setting up temporary stations, and thereby denouncing the vicious sanctions resolution on the one hand, and voicing support to the people and Government of Eritrea on the other.

The Action Day for dealing resolute rebuff to the illegal and unjust sanctions resolution would continue until December 20. It is to be noted that December 15 was decided to be the Day on which Eritrean citizens in the Diaspora voice denunciation against the resolution.
