Inhabitants of Afabet sub-zone called upon to make utmost use of social services

The head of social services in Afabet sub-zone, Mr. Osman Adem, called on the inhabitants to make utmost use of the available service-rendering facilities put in place through government expense.
Afabet, 23 December 2010 – The head of social services in Afabet sub-zone, Mr. Osman Adem, called on the inhabitants to make utmost use of the available service-rendering facilities put in place through government expense.

He explained that health professionals and material equipments have been deployed in the sub-zone and that efforts to control the most prevalent diseases there, namely malaria and TB are in the process of decline.

Mr. Osman further reminded the inhabitants of Gebgeb and Shabait administrative areas to be grouped in one settlement so as to obtain easy access to social services.

Stating that campaigns are being carried out in a bid to increase school attendance, he indicated that five schools would be constructed, in addition to the previous 19 ones.  Mr. Osman also called on parents to send their children to school.
