Vegetable farming in Forto-Sawa stabilizing market price

The cultivation of vegetable farming in Forto-Sawa on about 3,000 hectares is making due contribution in stabilizing the local market and creating job opportunity.
Forto-Sawa, 24 December 2010 – The cultivation of vegetable farming in Forto-Sawa on about 3,000 hectares is making due contribution in stabilizing the local market and creating job opportunity.

The local inhabitants explained that previously they used to buy vegetables from remote areas at high price. At present, however, they have become beneficiaries of sufficient supply at fair price thanks to the cultivation of vegetables in the area.

They went on to say that they are producing better products both in terms of quality and quantity which contributed to price reduction by well over half. The inhabitants further expressed satisfaction for getting job opportunity in vegetable farming projects around Sawa that helped them to lead improved living standard.
