The putting in place of various service-rendering facilities in Barentu sub-zone are playing significant role in improving the living standard of the people, disclosed the Administrator of the sub-zone, Mr. Franko Kubaba.
Barentu, 26 December 2010 – The putting in place of various service-rendering facilities in Barentu sub-zone are playing significant role in improving the living standard of the people, disclosed the Administrator of the sub-zone, Mr. Franko Kubaba.
He said that elementary schools have been constructed in administrative areas of Kona, Shekat and Zoba Fithi at a cost of 5 million Nakfa in the past two years, besides the renovation of a 6 Km. streets within the town. Mr. Franko also said that water and electricity services have been improved in the town
Moreover, soil and water conservation activities at a cost of 2 million Nakfa have been carried out and 150 seedlings of various types of trees which have economic advantage have been planted, as well as 345,000 meter terraces have been put in place.
Barentu sub-zone has more than 57,000 people in 13 administrative areas.
