Agricultural Research Center in Golij backing up agricultural development endeavors

The head of seed fertilization supervision unit in the Agriculture Ministry’s branch in Golij sub-zone, Mr. Niguse Abraha, urged farmers to make optimum use of the agricultural experiments conducted at the Agricultural Research Center in the sub-zone as it has vital role to play in familiarizing farmers with modern farming techniques.
Golij, 28 December 2010 –  The head of seed fertilization supervision unit in the Agriculture Ministry’s branch in Golij sub-zone, Mr. Niguse Abraha, urged farmers to make optimum use of the agricultural experiments conducted at the Agricultural Research Center in the sub-zone as it has vital role to play in familiarizing farmers with modern farming techniques.

In a meeting with members of the farming community, he called on them to strive for boosting production through effectively employing their valuable experience along with the advices obtained from agricultural experts.

Mr. Niguse further explained that study and experiments have been conducted on assessing the outcome of hybrid seeds obtained from mixing imported seeds with local ones which has yielded encouraging outcome.
