Vocational Training Being Given To Needy Youths In Northern Red Sea Region

The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare branch in the Northern Red Sea region is given vocational training opportunities to needy youths in the region, as part of efforts to ensure social security.
Massawa, 29 December 2010 – The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare branch in the Northern Red Sea region is given vocational training opportunities to needy youths in the region, as part of efforts to ensure social security.

The head of the branch office, Mr. Russom Hizbai, said that the year-long training course is being given through the collaboration of ship repairing plants, government garage and boat modification plants. It focuse on mechanics, auto-electricity, wood and metal works, among others.

The head of techniques in the government garage in the region, Mr. Kibrom Bairagabir, pointed out that previously three rounds of similar trainings were provided at the garage and that the trainees are demonstrating dedication and interest in the course. Some of the trainees who demonstrated excellence in the course are also hired in the garage, he added.

The beneficiaries expressed satisfaction with such opportunity and stressed its significance in improving their lifestyle.
