A total of 45 crop experts from 14 sub-zones of Gash-Barka region attended a training regarding crop development. Barentu, 2 January 2011 – A total of 45 crop experts from 14 sub-zones of Gash-Barka region attended a training regarding crop development. The training that focused on crop development, protection of crops, as well as vegetable and fruits, helped the trainees to exchange experience and enrich their knowledge.
An expert of crop development in the branch office of the Ministry of Agriculture in Gash-Barka region, Mr. Medhanie Yhidego, said that the training was helpful in identifying seeds, which can adapt with soil and climate condition and study the character of new seeds, among others.
The trainees on their part said that the training was helpful in upgrading their knowledge and expressed conviction that they would apply what they have learned.
