Projects Implemented in 2010 Stepping Stone For Further Progress: Central Region Infrastructure Department
The infrastructure facilities implemented in the Central region in the year 2010 at huge expenditure would serve as a stepping stone for further achievements, stated the head of construction and renovation in the Infrastructure Department in the region, Eng. Mihreteab Hailemariam.
Asmara, 2 January 2011 – The infrastructure facilities implemented in the Central region in the year 2010 at huge expenditure would serve as a stepping stone for further achievements, stated the head of construction and renovation in the Infrastructure Department in the region, Eng. Mihreteab Hailemariam.
Mr. Mihreteab said that the project of renovation and construction of roads began on June 2008 by Asbeco Construction Company aimed at making transport services efficient and reliable. In this respect, three feeder roads in Tiravolo, Medeber-Arba’ate Asmara, down town Asmara streets, Endanora-Gejeret roads have been renovated, in addition to the repairing of dirt roads of Araba’ate-Asmara-Geza Tanika. Moreover, traffic signs and streetlights were also renovated, he added.
Furthermore, sewage lines around Medeber area were renovated and garbage collector and water pipe lines in were put in place in Geza Tanika.
Eng. Mihreteab further explained that road renovation and repairing activities would continue in expanded manner around Gezabanda, Godaif, Sembel and other areas in the city.
