Inhabitants of Berdoli obtaining satisfactory social services

The inhabitants of Berdoli, Gelalu sub-zone, expressed satisfaction for becoming beneficiaries of basic social services. They stated that the problems they used to face are now being tackled thanks to the Government’s substantial investment focusing on remote areas.

Gelalu, 3 January 2010 – The inhabitants of Berdoli, Gelalu sub-zone, expressed satisfaction for becoming beneficiaries of basic social services. They stated that the problems they used to face are now being tackled thanks to the Government’s substantial investment focusing on remote areas.

The inhabitants further explained that villages that were scattered in a number of areas have been grouped in one community in Berdoli, which in turn enabled them to obtain various social services, including education, health and potable water supply.

They further indicated that previously they ware compelled to travel for long hours to fetch water that was not up to standard. The implementation of the potable water supply has now relieved them from such problem, they added. The local inhabitants went on to say that their children who were deprived of educational opportunity are now attending classes as a result of the expansion of schools.

The Administrator of the area, Mr. Mussa Omar Kadi, explained on his part that the area is showing speedy urbanization with the putting in place of various service-rendering institutions.
