Doctors and nurses receive additional practical course in surgery

4 medical doctors and 2 nurses who have been serving in different regions of the country graduated yesterday upon completion of an additional practical course in surgery at Orotta Hospital.

Asmara, 4 December 2010 – 4 medical doctors and 2 nurses who have been serving in different regions of the country graduated yesterday upon completion of an additional practical course in surgery at Orotta Hospital.

During the graduation ceremony, the Minister of Health, Ms. Amna Nurhusein, handed certificates to the graduates and explained that the course is part of the ongoing endeavors to upgrade the skill of the health professionals.

She further indicated that in accordance with the plans mapped out, doctors who are fulfilling their duties in different parts of the country would receive similar educational opportunities so as to upgrade their competence.

The graduates on their part stressed the significance of the course and asserted readiness to live up to the nation’s expectations.

It is to be noted that the additional practical course in surgery was given by Eritrean experts.
